(Draft) Sampled at GCBF 2009 in Victoria on September 10, 2009. Melon with cascade hops. Pretty good as a cleanser for the Cream Ale disaster. 7/3/7/3/14

Aroma is rather light with notes of pepper and floral hops, light citrus, and some toasty earthy malt notes. Pours amber with a nice frothy head. The flavor is more assertive with toasted and roasted malts, light underlying sweetness and pepper/earthy hops in the finish. Nice lingering bitter effect. Perhaps a little lighter than expected, but very sessionable and refreshing stuff. Another good one from Big Al.

7/21/09 on draft at the brewery. Aroma has a true black pepper spiciness and a grassy background. Appearance is light hazy gold with a well maintained white head and a touch of lacing. Flavor is an even blend of green grass, light black pepper and sweet malt. None of the flavors dominate each other, and harshness is absent. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a medium carb texture and tingling finish. Overall, a super-sessionable IPA that strives for flavor over palate punishment.

Draft at Naked City. Very solid IPA. Pours a hazy medium amber with a loose tan film for a head. Mild nose, probably too much on the subdued side for me. A little bit of citrus there and that’s about it. Creamy medium body with plenty of assertive carb, hits just right--leaves some woolly air bubbles in the mouth. Lovely big citrus notes abound on the mid palate, nice peach and apricot touches with the dryish caramel notes underneath. Long resiny finish. Very dry and refreshing. If this beer had a head and a nose it would be something serious to contend with.
