Cask. Deep copper color. Creamy off-white head. Huge lacing. This is the best looking beer in Florida! Nice hop aroma. Refreshing citrus. Lots of caramel malt. Sweet malt character is big and sticky. Finishes with a nice pine bitterness. 22 Nov 08.

Served in frosted glass (Big Bear, please stop). Red-amber with frothy, rocky head and lacing. Aroma is flattened by all that damn frost but as warms becomes noticeably hoppy but balanced by crystal malt. Quaffable with great mouthfeel and texture. Nice balance of earthy cereal grain. Robust, roasted flavors and nice hop character.

Reddish-amber colour. Nice head. Chewy crystal malt, breadcrust and woody hop. Toasty character with moderate, insistent bitterness. Dry, bitter, breadcrusty finish. Nice.

On tap Nov 25, 2008. A nice reddish/copperish color with a decent head. Aroma is very hoppy and somewhat malty. Flavor is full of hops and wonderful malts...this was on draft cask style and is a really damn good beer. One of the best I have had at Big Bear yet.

Draft… Clear copper ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Cascade hop aroma… earthy pine and grapefruit. Leans just a smidge on the bitter side of balance. Very little residual sweetness... only an insinuation of toffee or caramel. Medium-bodied and bone-dry with moderate carbonation. Finishes crisp with a nice hop snap.
