Commercial Description:
This dark brown ale is slightly sweet with a caramel and dark fruit finish. A show case of fine English malts, floor malted the old way. We use pale, chocolate, and crystal malts to produce a complex, but easy drinking dark ale. Very reminescent of northern English ales.

Bottled. A chest-nut colored beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of caramel, malt, nuts, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, nuts, cocoa powder, and malt, leading to a dry cocoa finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of brentfeesh. Pours a clear deep warm brown with a reddish hue and an off-white head. Roasted yet vinous aroma. Medium body, a little roast, vanilla and dried fruits. Some sweet burned caramel. A little ashes. No real bitterness. Delicious. 091109

Hazy chestnut brown colour. The aroma is earthy, with hints of caramel. Moderate overall body and intensity. Fine nuttiness. Enjoyable.

12oz bottle acquired in trade (I can’t find who this came from, if it was you, let me know!). Poured a deeper brown color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toasted malts, light caramel, and some nuts. I was also getting an earthiness to it. Tastes of caramel, chocolate, toasted malts, and nuts. Thinner body.
