Commercial Description:
Our strong wit beer is brewed with curacao orange peels and fresh ground coriander. The orange enhances the natural citrus flavors derived from the fermentation of our special Belgian yeast. This is an unbelievably refreshing and easy drinking ale, but please be cautious; it is stronger than you think!

Draught at Tylers in Durham. Pours a hazy golden color with a frothy white head. Great notes of sweet wheat. Aroma is quite good as well. Tastes of cotton candy. Finishes with a great sweet taste, yet not to sugary.

very nice on Tap at the Marriott downtown. Like a session beer but clearly Belgian oily sweet, hints of spice, slightly cloudy light amber with no head but pleasant odor.

Dirty gold, with a pillowy head. Sweet aromas with candi sugar, orange, and wheatiness. Sweetness is tempered in the flavor and mellows out. Ample yeast, banana, and some clove. A "double" wit? Not feelin’ it.

Pint @ Tyler’s Apex. Good aroma, sweet & sour, spice too. Yeasty, seltzer kind of sharpness , little corniness about it, hints of orange and/or grapefruit. Touch of haze, golden yellow, cleared as it sat. Ok head, minor to no lace. Bittersweet flavor still a yeasty streak, banana kicks in, though I’m still getting some corn about it. Thick body, creamy oily mouthfeel, bitter sweet finish, Little rough around the finish. Tasty, though I wasn’t diggin the corn I got out of aroma, didn’t effect flavor as much. Didn’t stand out for me.

Rating #1800, growler, sampled at the 1st Annual Shenandoah Beer Throwdown, courtesy of wilkie. Thanks, Chris! Fittingly enough, this was my final rating of the weekend. Pours a hazy, golden-orange hue; white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Lots of cloves, bananas, and breadiness in the aroma; solid witte nose. Lively carbonation; medium mouthfeel: lots of bananas, caramelized sugar, and cloves, with some warming alcohol / roughness coming through; some astringency. Medium finish: bananas, brown sugar, and toasted malts.

Poured at Milltown. Pours a soft yellow gold with a one finger white head. Doesn’t look like a Belgian White, filtered maybe? The nose is a little sweet, some citrus, alcohol, a little bit of wheat and yeast imprint. Not as big as I would like it to be. The flavor is similar, a little warm, some orange, sweet, not much yeast or wheat flavor. Tastey.

Wow... awesome beer. Also had this at the brewpub, with Ryan and Chris, while playing photohunt. We didn’t know you could get the adult version until we were done. Bogus.

Draught at woodys in downtown raleigh--a while ago...found this on a machine washed receipt) Pours golden, hazy, with small white head. Aroma is yeasty, with citrus and spice, orange peel? lemon? Flavor is earthy, yeasty, and a little pepper in malt. Slight alcohol in aftertaste, but not too much.
