luttonm (275), Belgrade, Serbia Nov 20, 2008 12oz bottle from trade. Sour-sweet w/ rich maltiness with peppery hops. Light appearance but respectable weight and flavor. Lots of yeast and sediment, which I didn’t expect. Alright, but I prefer what I can find on this coast. wilkie (1189), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Dec 15, 2007 (from a while ago....) Draught, at Woody’s in Downtown Raleigh. Hazy, amber-copper colored, off-white medium head, nice lacing. Aroma is very hoppy, pine and grapefruit, with a bit of caramel thrown in. Flavor is similar, sticky mouthfeel, sweet and hoppy. Alcohol and hops in the aftertaste. ucusty (1871), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Sep 21, 2007 very bland not much hop on the finish, actually rather diaspointed in this beer. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Name: Big Boss Double IPA

hazy dark caramel, wispy beige head, streaks of lace, sweet dark caramel malt aroma with light citrus and a touch of sweet pine, body starts a bit thin but becomes thick and sticky, caramel malt flavor, sweetness is well balanced with light citrus hop flavor and a long bitter finish, hop flavor keeps getting stronger and picks up some piney sweetness, keeps getting better and better as you drink it

Occasional. 00cobraR (1096), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA Jun 3, 2007 On tap and the speakeasy in Carrboro. pours out a nice deep amber color with a medium beige head. Aroma is very hoppy and full of grapefruit. Flavor was ver intense at first but soon seemed to disapate. im sure that was from my mouth getting used to the big hops in this beer. Over all a great brew. i certainly enjoyed this. TURDFERGUSON (1594), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA May 12, 2007 On tap at the speakeasy in carrboro. Poured a clear dark amber with a sudsy white head. Nose was dirty, earthy, citrus hops. Flavor is sweet with caramel malts with a lot of bitter hops in the finish. Alcohol pretty well hidden. This is pretty good, but it could be much better. In any case, big boss is putting out some nice beers and i appreciate it. CaptainCougar (5379), Rockville, Maryland, USA May 5, 2007 Sampled from a growler on 3/14/07: Pours a transparent coper orange with a spotty-lacing, small frothy off-white head. Aroma of fresh, earthy, grapefruity hops with some sweet caramel malt. Body starts fresh, sweet and caramely malty with a lot of grapefruity bittering hops and a warming finish. A decent double IPA.
