Commercial Description:
A German-style pilsner, brewed with all German malts to provide an authentic malt profile for this beer. It is hopped with a combination of German noble hops during brewing, and then dry-hopped to increase the herbal flavor, without increasing the bitterness. It is lagered for at least 1 month after fermentation for a beautiful, smooth, and refreshing beer. Editor's Note: Formerly called Angry Angel German Pilsner.

(growler, thanks wilkie) Crystal clear apple juice body with white head that does not retain well. Aroma is medium sweet, grassy/herbal, apple, cereal. Taste is medium sweet, grassy, some apple, herbal. Nice hoppy finish. Light-medium body, somewhat watery, with some crispness, easy drinking.

Draught at 42nd St Oyster Bar in Raleigh, NC. Clear golden color with a thin white head that left a nice lace coating on the glass. Grassy and sprucy hop aromas that mingle with a touch of cereal grain. Crisp and slightly sweet, especially the first sip. Nice ceral grain flavor that lingers a bit. Nice pilsner.

I was expecting something called "Angry Angel" to be some sort of Abbey Beer or something like that, so I was a bit surprised when it was a Pils. But It was a very tasty pils, with smooth corny flavors meldiing nicely with a crisp assertive hop finish. Sampled at 2007 Hickory Hops.

On tap at Bean and Barrel. Translucent yellow with a thin white frothy head. The aroma is sweet and shows more citrus from the hops than is present in the flavor. The flavor is very nicely hopped which gives it an immediate flavor, also shows a nice sweetness. The aroma is more fruity than the flavor and the flavor is more dry and waxy than the aroma. Overall it is a well hopped and flavorful pilsner.

On draught at Milltown. Poured into a pilsener glass. Nice. This beer was really nice and just what I needed on this night. Pours golden with fluffy white head and lacing. Dirty hops predominate the flavor with subtle cereal and grainy outbursts. Still a nice pils. On tap with the style. Glad to see Big Boss making a name for themselves.

Growler, from brewery. Good aroma. Sour. Grassy, skunky, lemon, hint of pepper. Clean lite orangy gold color, good head that faded quickly to a ring, then nothing. Bitter flavor, like aroma, more fruit, got a little apple & pear, cereal too. Lite body, creamy smooth mouthfeel, bittersweet finish. Well, not usually a pils kind of guy, but this one was hitting the mark for me. Brought this to a May 5th party, but I was the only one who drank it. Was easy to drink. Liked the fruitiness that came out as it warmed.
