Commercial Description:
A German-style pilsner, brewed with all German malts to provide an authentic malt profile for this beer. It is hopped with a combination of German noble hops during brewing, and then dry-hopped to increase the herbal flavor, without increasing the bitterness. It is lagered for at least 1 month after fermentation for a beautiful, smooth, and refreshing beer. Editor's Note: Formerly called Angry Angel German Pilsner.

Pours a clean golden straw with a pillowy head of bleached white. Aromas were crisp with a solid German Noble fragrance. Very sharp. 100% Hallertau utilized. Flavors are snappy and thirst-quenching with a sharp hop kick following a bready malt base. Solid body and quite drinkable. Solid stab at the style.

On draught at Milltown. Poured into a pilsener glass. Nice. This beer was really nice and just what I needed on this night. Pours golden with fluffy white head and lacing. Dirty hops predominate the flavor with subtle cereal and grainy outbursts. Still a nice pils. On tap with the style. Glad to see Big Boss making a name for themselves.

Draught at 42nd St Oyster Bar in Raleigh, NC. Clear golden color with a thin white head that left a nice lace coating on the glass. Grassy and sprucy hop aromas that mingle with a touch of cereal grain. Crisp and slightly sweet, especially the first sip. Nice ceral grain flavor that lingers a bit. Nice pilsner.

Draft at Outback. The waitress said this was a German Pilsener called Angry Angel, so I don’t know if I had this one or the Angry Angel Kolsh. Whatever it was, it looked pretty much like a Bud...straw yellow, white bubbly head. Nice bit of spice and hops on the nose. Quite tasty for a light pils...bready, hoppy, and touch of lemon. Finishes amazingly smooth for the style with non of that skunky aftertaste you can get with a lot of pils. I’m a fan.

The aroma was fruity with a citrusy hop character and a lightly spicy and perfumy hop presence as well. A light caramel was present to complement the hops. The beer was very lightly hazy with a golden color and a persistent head which lasted to lace the glass. The flavor was nicely bittered with a spicy and lightly citrusy hop flavor. The malt was nicely accentuated with spicy and light menthol hops. The body was medium and the carbonation was moderate. The finish was nice and crisp. A nice pils, a bit fruity, but extremely easy to consume. Pint at Horniblows.

I was expecting something called "Angry Angel" to be some sort of Abbey Beer or something like that, so I was a bit surprised when it was a Pils. But It was a very tasty pils, with smooth corny flavors meldiing nicely with a crisp assertive hop finish. Sampled at 2007 Hickory Hops.

Draught. Very carbonated, white, frothy head, nice lacing, slightly fizzy. Aroma is slight malt, slight sweet, and the rest....well it is a pilsner. Flavor is slightly malty, grassy, and has bitter finish. Crisp at end and quite tasty.

Growler, from brewery. Good aroma. Sour. Grassy, skunky, lemon, hint of pepper. Clean lite orangy gold color, good head that faded quickly to a ring, then nothing. Bitter flavor, like aroma, more fruit, got a little apple & pear, cereal too. Lite body, creamy smooth mouthfeel, bittersweet finish. Well, not usually a pils kind of guy, but this one was hitting the mark for me. Brought this to a May 5th party, but I was the only one who drank it. Was easy to drink. Liked the fruitiness that came out as it warmed.
