Commercial Description:
This style originated in Belgium to compete with the pilsners from Czechoslovakia, Germany, and Poland. It is a fruity ale with very strong carbonation, with complex, spicy flavors like cloves.

Pours a lightly hazy gold orange, with a light off white head. Holy shit, smells atrocious! Kind of like old ketchup and candy sugar mixed together for 2 weeks in the sun. Well, the flavor aint much better. Just a crappy Belgian style brew from an American brewer. Overdone candy sugar and funky notes. Way too sweet, and undercarbonated. Horrific.

(12oz. bottle) Pours a cloudy yellow body with a moderate white head. Aroma of dustiness, wheat, floral, and yeast. Flavor of yeast, candi sugar, light fruitiness, and coriander.

Bottle from turdferguson. Thanks! Initial aromas of light fruity yeast, some sweetness from the malt, and some spice. The oddness comes in here, as I start to get notes of salt and sardines. The flavors is salty, musty, funky, fishy. Extremely unusual. Oh yeah, pale gold with a thin head. There had to have been something wrong with this. Undrinkable.

Pours a light golden color with very little head that lingers just a moment. Very fruity aroma with a scent of banana, lemon, clove and spice. The taste re-affirmed the aroma - fruity and lots of clove. A decent beer by a local brewery but not my favorite that Big Boss produces.

Big let down. Expected more. Sweet. Not much body. Very thin overall and felt like it relied too much on outside sugars.

Bottle… Clear golden ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is of honey and spice - orange blossoms, clove and overripe, black banana. Medium-bodied and oily with prickly carbonation. Sweet, sticky, meaty flavor with very low bitterness. Everything blends in the worst possible way to create a ketchup-like smell and taste. Finishes bland and dry. Not at all good, but thanks for trying, I think. Bottle provided by whomever bonused it to mgumby10!

Bottle. Pours a hazy brownish-amber with a thin white head. Sweet and sharp aroma, of malt, yeast, citrus, caramel. Quite sweet taste, of malt, yeast, caramel then gets sharper and picks up fruit notes. Lingering sharpness. Not bad, but not great.

12 fl oz bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours slight cloudy yellow with a fully gone head. Mild spiced yeasty aroma. Clove spiced flavour with a mellow yeasty presence. Smooth into a nice finish with light yeasty fruity notes.
