| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 25, 2009 Nice crisp hazy golden orange coloured body with a dense tan head - perfect in appearance at least! Aroma of yeast, coriander seed, curacao, lemons and a lot of wheat - pretty damn nice too! Medium-bodied; Strong assertive spices with cloves, anise and yeast coming through big time. Potent and complex aftertaste - pretty nice and spicy, not much sweetness here. Overall, a very nice beer - I don’t know how people didn’t like this one...I thought it was really good for an American brewing this style. I think it’s more of a tripel than anything else, but it could be classified by a plain old Belgie Ale. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Durham, North Carolina on 31-August-2008, sampled at home in Washington on 24-January-2009. Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 2, 2009 A nice beer. Not a true belgian... but a pleasant nutty flavor. But still an expected belgian sweetness. Thin head, light cloudy... not as cloudy as most belginas. unclemattie (2432), Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 10, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours, with a slight haze, golden. Thin white head. Aroma of a bready yeastiness. A very Belgian Ale aroma. Lots of dough, hints of lemon zest. Flavor is a medium sweetness, dough. Light bodied. alexsdad06 (1098), Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 3, 2008 12 oz. bottle courtesy of OldStyleCubFan. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma opens with a big candy sweetness surrounded by bananas, yeast, and spice. The flavor does not have the over the top sweetness as the aroma might indicate. Fruity, with a good mix of yeast, dough, and spice. Mouthfeel was medium/full with a crisp finish. This was better than I was expecting. maltdog (518), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 30, 2009 Bottle. Cloudy marigold, short foam rubber head. Yummy spice-and-citrus nose has hefeweizen notes and kiwi. Spicy/fruity flavor is far milder than the aroma suggests- apple/pineapple and yeasty taste, clovey phenol finish. Medium palate, gritty texture. Very nice. MiP (9157), Sønderborg, Denmark
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 4, 2008 Bottle, 7%. Peppery aroma with a little spicy hops. Cloudy pale yellow colour. Small white head. Quite fruity flavour, good breadiness, some alcohol. Dried fruit notes. Good mouthfeel. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 3, 2008 Thanks to emacgee for this. Pours hazy deep gold with 3-fingers of white head and a lot of carbonation streams. Smells candi sugary malty, with florals and some dry citrus. Tastes spicy, floral, dry, with candi sugary malt, mid-palate citrus, hops, and spicy yeast. Very complex and a beer that I dare say would be indistinguishable from many of its Belgian counterparts in a blind tasting.
