The best of the variety case that I bought. Agressive, harsh bitterness. Not over the top though. I feel the need to inappropriately use the term "session beer" here, inspired by another user’s rating for this beer.

Pours hazy copper amber into the glass with a bold off-white head and great lacing. Grapefruit and citrus nose, with hops that mimic young underdeveloped pine notes. Slightly grapefruit citrus flavor with pine accents and a well-hopped back. The finish is a lingering pine-pepper, and the mouthfeel is creamy-oily with a mild spice astringency.

Bottle thanks to Ross. Pours deep amber with a two finger froth leaving heazy sticky lace. Huge pine nose with citrus, dark bread, and heazy malts. Very good. Flavours match the aroma. Lots of bitter pine hops, cirtic rind, loads of bread and sweet malt to balance. Finishes slightly watery though. Lingering bittrness and pine. Well done, thanks Ross!

Large frothy off-white head of big ole soda bubbles. Reduces to king of a sloppy mess. Good carbonation. Wonderful aroma though. Ripe citrus and fresh pine. Succulent grapefruit. Color is a medium copper orange. Dry bitter orange and grapefruit flavor. Little bit of harsh bitterness. Some roasted grains which become more prominent late swallow. Little bit of dry roasted peanut skins also. Not very sweet at all. Finish is dry and bitter and leaves a long roasty finish. A decent IPA. I am surprised that it is not rated a little higher than this though. Thanks to Magjayran for this one.

Dark ruby appearance. Large white head. Strong hop aroma. Bitterness is noted throughout with hops to blance it out. Nothing interestiing, but nothing wrong with it.

On draught @ Flying Saucer Raleigh. Good nose, sweet. Pine citrus, grapefruit mainly. Clean reddish orange color, ok head and lacing. Bitter flavor, grapefruit mainly, but also pine. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, bitter finish. Good, classic gf bitter ipa.

nice apple cider color to it with a very thick off white head. aroma was mostly hoppy with a hint of sugar. This is a very nice IPA, especially coming from NC. I give it respect, it would be a solid session beer at any bar i would drink at.
