12oz bottle acquired in trade with OldGrowth (thanks!). Poured a medium and slightly hazy amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, pine, and a little on the fruity side. Tastes of citrus, bready, caramel, and light pine. Semi-sweet with a lighter bitter finish. Thin body.

Bottle... NTB Ernesto Festo ’06... Cloudy deep gold ale with a small, frothy, white head. Earthy, acidic aroma with notes of leather, grapefruit, pine cone and a mildewy funkiness. The flavor is moderately bitter and minutely acidic. Medium-bodied and fizzy. Lengthy, medium bitter finish.

Bottle sampled on 1/10/07: Pours a clear copper bronze with a well-lacing, wispy off-white head. Aroma of lightly sweet grainy pale malts with an earthy, piny hoppy presence. Body starts thin and effervescent with a mild, earthy grainy malty character and big hoppy bitterness with some grapefruity flavor. A pretty decent IPA.

Pours amber/copper with an off white head. Smells of soap, straw, hay and some spices. Tastes earthy with an earthy finish. Very drinkable and much more of a pale ale than an IPA.
