ucusty (1871), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Mar 16, 2009 Scotch aged. Draft at horniblows. Dark brown pour with thick off white head. Sweet malts and scotch on the nose. This definitely improves a beer im not normally a fan of. I think the finished product would produce much better results with a better base beer. These comments are just my personal opinions, because from what I can tell they sell a hell of a lot bad penny. Chocolate, hazelnut, and a scotch laced finish wilkie (1189), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Mar 11, 2009 Draught at Horniblows Tavern. Pours brown, dark, slightly red, and with a medium frothy head that laces nicely and retains fairly well. Aroma is scotch, and malty, sweet. Flavor is similar, with a nice bittering effect from the scotch that balances well with a beer that I am not as big a fan of. Excellent beer.
