Nuffield (2537), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Nov 6, 2002 Cask-conditioned beauty! Pitch dark in color with a lasting caramel foam. Aroma is intensely like a coffee brewing in a small room at 7 a.m. It drinks smooth and rich, nicely mellow (so refreshing when a brewpub is able to do a cask, so that at least one beer isn’t carbonated to the hilt.) A solid helping of chocolate makes this taste like a chocolate-covered coffee bean, although this didn’t strike me as a particularly sweet concoction. Easy drinking, with the only criticism being that the flavor may get slightly annoying over time. Very interesting and enjoyable. (on tap at the Grapevine, TX location)
