20 oct 07, draft at BD Cafe & Casino, LV. Clear, deep copper color, a little lighter that RedHydrant. Much darker than HolyCow!. It has the hop floral of the HolyCow!. It has the Malt backbone of the RedHydrant. Then finishes again like the HolyCow! This is the best of this brewery! I ordered a second pint...!

on tap-pours an off white head that laces and deep amber color. Aroma is citrus hops, medium malt. Taste is citrus hops, lots of medium malt backbone-some nutty/chocolate.

Deep brown pour with hints of red. Creamy white head and lace. Toasted malt with a dry finish. Foamy medium bodied beer. Unusual in a good way.

The aroma is not real strong, a little malty. The taste has some fruity hoppiness to it that is immediately noticeable though. Thin finish, but the fruitiness fights the malts there. An odd combination that I’m not convinced was necessary; my wife likes it though.

Tap @ cafe. Dark amber/brownish in appearance. Good maltiness balanced with a little bit of a hop bite. Pretty well balanced.

Draught at the brewpub in Rancho Drive
Amber color. Quite good Amber Ale, with round caramel flavor and a strong earthy character.

Sample at the Rancho Dr brewpub. This is a blend of 2 Big Dog beers I didn’t really care for, so here goes. The beer is a clear amber color with a medium thin and creamy light beige head that diminishes slowly. Spotty lacing. Malt and floral hops aroma. Medium-bodied with flavors of hops, citrus and malt. The finish is evenly hoppy/malty with neither flavor lingering long. As with each of the beers used in the blend, this one is just average overall.

what’s the point? it hides the sugary feel of the red and brings out the hops of the pale. it’s better than the red but worse than the pale...6/3/6/3/13/3.1
