Really more of a double IPA this gimmicky-sounding beer (with 7 malts, and 7 hops) has a big malt body with both sweetness, astringency, and toastyness, an enormous hop aroma, tons of bitterness (way over 77--pushing 100 if you ask me), and lots of thick, resinous, citrus, pine, and earth hops flavors. Is medium amber-brown with a loose off-white head. Body is a touch out of balance with some malt, alcohol, and sweetness confusion but is hardly noticable while being beaten over the head with hops flavor. One of the best yet from Big Dogs. dwyerpg (2545), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

A gentleman here in Las Vegas had this beer made specially for him, as it would be his 7777th different beer. It was made 7 malts, 7 hops, 77 IBUs, 7.7% and the first beer was drank at 7:07 p.m. on July 7th.
For the beer itself, it is actually pretty good (though I am a hophead). The aroma is fairly balanced, but I find the taste is more hoppy than malty from the start on through to the end. The ending is pure hops and quite nice.
