Commercial Description:
This rich, dark ale is brewed with nine different malts along with roasted barley. It has old-world appeal for stout overs everywhere and is distinguished by hints of coffee and cocoa.

dark orange black pour with a soft nitro light brown head. the nose is roasty, a little smoky and has a touch of cocoa. take the characteristics in the aroma... add some coffee, toasted nuttiness and some ash and you get the flavor profile. it is heavy on the roast and malt while just a bit bitter. the body is medium. the mouth feel is creamy but a little watery from the nitrogen. 6/4/6/3/14/3.3

Sampler at Big Dogs Brewing, Las Vegas. nitro. pours dark brown, roasted malts, with notes of cocoa. Taste had amazing roast notes, some light chocolate and traces of cocoa nibs.

Sample at brew pub. Mild coco mix aroma. Black body with tan head. Roast in the flavor but mild. This sample was near the end of ten so it warmed abit and had a good creamy milk texture to it. Good beer.

Nitro @ Cafe. Very dark in color upon pouring. Quite roasted and malty. This stout is on the bitter side, with a lot of roasted coffee.

Sample at the Rancho Dr brewpub. This beer is a dark brown color with a thin and creamy beige head that dissipates steadily. Sheet of lacing. Light malt and roasted coffee aroma. Medium, smooth body with flavors of sweet malt, roasted coffee and subtle hops. The finish is watery and short with roasted malt and cocoa flavor falling off quickly. Below average overall.

12-1-07 tap.
Very light, watery roasted aroma. Bland and un-stout like. Nice black thickness and okay head. Very watery and seems like a very weak, poor brown to me.

on tap-pours a nice cascading, retaining, light brown head with lots of lacing and black color. Aroma is dark malt-molasses/coffee, some acidity. Taste is dark malt-molasses/coffee, some acidity, faint hops. Smooth. Nice, but not my style.

Draught into pint glass at the brewery. Rather odd stout, it seemed upside-down. Instead of chocolate and coffee with hints of hop, it was strong hop with hints of bittersweet chocolate in the finish. Not bad, just an odd stout.
