Orang-grapefruit citrus aromas with pine resin and some earthy forest floor--all of which is duplicated in the flavor with some nice graininess and a bit of alcohol. Nicely-balanced with an intense bitter finish makes this one of the great single variety IPAs out there. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark

Fruity nose of hops. Great tasteful of hops. But overall nothing speciel with this IPA. Very average. Ends up very bitter and dry. willblake (2187), Belcamp, Maryland, USA

Centennial hops always leave a sticky residue behind when they’re used in large doses and this is no exception. Lots of cat pee. Dinner roll backbone, but not too sturdy. Totally drinkable. beerlist (23), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 18, 2005 Good hop aroma, but not as much as I’d expect from a double IPA (or IPA and a half, as this would probably more accurately be classified, but that classification doesn’t exist here). Decent head, surprisingly light in color, considerably lighter than their regular IPA. Hops dominate the flavor, maybe a bit on the grassy side, but still quite tasty. The aroma seems to be improving and the flavors seem to be melding together a bit more as it ages, I’m enjoying it more each time I try it.
