zizzybalubba (335), Elizabeth City, North Carolina, USA Sep 27, 2009 Sampled at GABF 2009. Golden pour. Pineapple and floral hop aromas. Caramel, toffee, and tangerine flavors. A good IPA. nickd717 (1276), Palo Alto, California, USA Aug 10, 2009 First Nevada beer for me. On tap at the ’09 Bistro IPA Fest in Hayward, CA. Golden amber color with a white head. Big pine and citrus aroma with a little sweet malt. Flavor, however, falls a little flat relative to the nose. Pale malt and earth with somewhat muted citrus/pine hops and a little cheese. Palate somewhat standard for the style. Decent but not great overall. hellbilly (1492), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA Jul 6, 2009 pale copper golden brown colored pour with a big off white head and an abundance of spotty lacing.
big floral and citrusy nose with nose of pale malt and earth.
the palate is quite dry though there is a good pale malt backbone... flavors of citrus, dirty earthy hops, pine and some spice with a dry vaporous finish. parching aftertaste.
medium bodied with crisp prickly carbonation. 7/3/7/3/14/3.4 sebletitje (1880), Tampa, Florida, USA May 18, 2009 Sampler at Big Dogs Brewing, Las Vegas.
Pours golden, white head.
Aroma of pine hops.
Taste, sweet hops, sumit, with light spicy finish and a mouthfeel that reminded me of mold cheese, some malts also lingers and make this one a totally tasty IPA. Cletus (5001), Connecticut, USA Apr 17, 2009 Pours copper wth a white head. Smells of citrus and earthy. Tastes earthy with a nice compliment of resiny hops on the finish. Bockyhorsey (2486), Mesa, Arizona, USA Mar 21, 2009 Sampled @ 9th AZ Strong Beer Festival. Copper color body with white head. Aroma and flavor was a good dose of citrus fruit. Cool and crisp on the palate. Will be in area next month hopefully will get to try full pint. decaturstevo (1971), decatur, Tennessee, USA Mar 10, 2009 Medium copper pour with creamy white head and lace. Large grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit with hints of orange and medium malt, good bitter that fades quickly. A tad thin and watery,. BOLTZ7555 (1053), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Mar 2, 2009 On tap @ AZ Strong Beer Festival. Molten lava pour with a small steamy white head. Pretty damn tasty...and for a single IPA of only 6.5%, definitely holds its own against some IIPA’s @ the event. Very well balanced with pink grapefruit, orange peel and lemon zest followed by caramel and toffee. Not a ton of pine; just enough to impact the palate. NICE!!!
