Jan 8, 2006 Dark, dark ruby. Big malty aroma. Molasses, brown sugar, and cherries. Slight touch of chocolate. A bit overcarbonated, though.

Jul 14, 2004 Medium brown with a light tan head. Faint scotch and wood aroma... thin, tastes like a bad liqour that has been watered down. Upsets the stomach. has some maple and grass, but still really bad.

Jun 30, 2004 Nitro tap. Clear amber with a nice frothy white head and great lacing. Nice malty nose. Smooth balanced malty flavor. Very drinkable.

May 12, 2004 on draft: amber brown in color. served from a nitro tap with a creamy head and malty nose and two eyes made out of coal. smooth to drink and crystal choc malt taste. with slight hopping. would like to see the abv on this, not sure where it falls, assumption is higher. with a little sweet taste. go go go!

May 9, 2004 Updated: Jun 6, 2004Red-copper with a thin head. Sweet and thinly bodied. Almost a grape tone to it. Re-Rate after visiting the brewpub: see my notes on the Irish Red; I'm convinced they had the tabs reversed. The above earlier rating goes more with what was served to me as the Red.
