Shaker pint draft at Malt and Vine in Redmond, Washington. Pour is slight hazed darker golden copper with smallish white head. Aroma of not too much, some soft floral and grainy toasty malt. Taste of toasty malt, grainy straw, slight floral and some chemical dirtiness near the back. Palate is medium to light, heavy for a golden, but still works OK for this beer. Decent enough.

Sep 15, 2009 Draft at the brewpub. Pours a crystal clear burnished dark gold. Nice creamy white head and decent sheets of lace. Nutty, toasty nose. Creamy medium body. Nutty, toasty mid-palate with some nice light herbal hop showing at the end.

Jul 2, 2008 On draught at the brewery taproom in Lynnwood, Washington. Pours a clear pale golden amber brew with a creamy off-white head that has some nice retention and spotty lacing. Aroma of golden grain malt, some citrus zest and some light butterscotch. Taste is light to medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of golden grain malt, some crystal malt, light citrus zest, pears and light butterscotch. Finish is semi-sweet, crisp with a mild multi-grain malt aftertaste. Very solid beer and quite enjoyable.

Apr 15, 2008 This struck me as very similar to the lager except it was sweeter and fruitier in both aroma and flavor obviously due to ale yeast. Had a lemon/grass finish and a mildly sweet grainy flavor.

Nov 6, 2007 on tap-pours a disappearing white head and hazy yellow color. Aroma, I get nectarine and some caramel. Taste is caramel-medium/light malt, sweet, faint hops. OK/mild carbonation.
