drpimento (478), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Aug 19, 2008 Interesting. Poured with a big, fluffy, frothy, foamy tan head. Some lace. Clear, dark, reddish brown color. Malty nose. Very soft mouth. On the sweet side with some chocolate, and yes, cola. Not bad. Tad too sweet. but, not bad. Pick up a hint of booze on the finish. lweiberg (70), Eagan, Minnesota, USA Mar 11, 2008 Not too bad, tasted a bit like a stout but seemed to get weaker the more I drank. It did look like a Coca Cola, too, as someone mentioned below. Not really recommended unless the store doesn’t have any other decent ales. tytoanderso (1183), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Feb 10, 2008 12oz bottle. I’ve never seen this at any local store so was surprised to see a single at US Wine and Spirits today. Aroma more along the lines of a stout than a BSA. Lightly toasted dark malt, some bitter chocolate and a hint of smoke. Dark brown pour with deep amber highlights. Fairly bland on the tongue. A hint of diacetyl, toasted chocolate malt and that’s about it. Medium bodied with a kinda nasty buttery finish. franksnbeans (265), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 23, 2007 Pours a clear deep brown with pretty much no head or lacing.. Barely a head forms. Smells a little of roasted malt and a hint of chocolate. Taste is the same as the smell, if the flavors werent so faint it would be much better. Light in the mouth with minor carbonation, a little watery. The fact that this is 7.5 ABV blows my mind, very light drinking.
