MaliMisho (208), East Meadow, New York, USA Feb 6, 2008 Had this on tap at the RAM. They offered two different porters, this one and the Total Disorder. This beer was really dark and bitter. In comparison to there Total Disorder Porter, I would take the Total Disorder over this one.
HonkeyBra (517), Lemont, Illinois, USA Nov 21, 2008 Dark brown, almost black pour. Chocolatey smell. Great balanced, roasty flavor. Also, really awesome. One of the best beers I’ve had at Ram. DuffMan (2139), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Oct 21, 2008 GABF 2008. This was sampled from the Fort Collins CO brewery, and was listed as Wolin altic Porter. Aromas of cocoa, cherries, and almonds (marzipan). Chocolaty palate with stewed dark fruits, more marzipan, and a medium bitter finish. Quite nice. joergen (6821), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 17, 2008 Updated: Oct 18, 2008Draught .
Clear dark brown coloured with a medium sized beige head.
Light roasted aroma of caramel, rye bread and chocolate.
Sweet and roasted flavour of caramel, rye bread, chocolate and alcohol.
Roasted and warming alcoholic finish. Soonah (532), Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA Apr 21, 2008 Poured super dark brown, almost black. The head was tan to brown in color. Very little lacing. The aroma was malt and chocolate and some slight bitterness. The flavor was marred by a slightly astringent, almost soapy flavor that distracted from the malt and chocolate. Average mouthfeel. Total Disorder was much better than this one. Piggy (26), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 6, 2008 Almost black in color more on the very dark dark brown side, Creamy thin head. Smell very roasty and smoky. Taste rich chocolate sweet. leaving a light chocolate taste int he palate
