KUEric (570), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA Sep 22, 2008 It wasn’t a world beating IPA, but its better than 16% in my opinion.
It was among the best that Humperdinks had to offer.
I thought there was enough balance, but it was certainly hop-light for an IPA. aplusbreaks (55), , Colorado, USA Aug 9, 2008 Tap at westminster brewpub. A nice red color with some decent aromas. A well balanced easy drinking IPA. Not bad, not great. jcr (849), Jasper, Indiana, USA Jun 18, 2008 On tap at brewpub in downtown Indianapolis. Thought this was an easy-drinking, flavorful IPA. Light amber body with an off-white, fizzy head that was lasting. Aroma of citrus and toffee — hints of grapefruit, pine. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The bitterness kicks up a notch in the finish. Medium body with a watery texture. Lively carbonation. Very dry. phishpond417 (1456), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 17, 2008 A generous gift from my dear friend Emilee :) An attractive reddish-copper colour with an always decent white head with excellent retention. Very nice lacing scattered along the glass. soft citrus fruit, well balanced hop character, a little earth and nice fruit flavor. hopscotch (4579), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 4, 2008 (Ram Restaurant and Brewery, Schaumburg, IL) Draft... DLD’08... Clear golden ale with a large, creamy, off-white head. No retention, but nice lacework. Toffee and citrus notes dominate the aroma. Medium-bodied with a ridiculously dry mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. Finishes violently bitter and sucks all moisture from my mouth. Over-attenuated, for certain. Still, an aromatic, tasty brew.
