Commercial Description:
Brewed as a medium India Pale Ale, this full-flavored moderately hopped beer has the strongest hop character of our ales. Made for hopheads and new beer aficionados. The grist composition is 94% Pale malt, with the remaining grain bill consisting of carastan malts. The finishing Mt. Hood hop addition in the whirlpool gives this beer a good hop character without becoming excessively bitter. The beer is fined instead of filtered so the hop character is not stripped away.

On tap at Ram brew pub. Cloudy light brown hued IPA having small white diminishing head with fair lacing. Light citrus aroma. No discernable carbonation. Light-to-medium bodied IPA that starts with slight sweet malt flavor with moderate bitterness and average length finish with dry bitter hop flavor. A good drinkable hoppy IPA that goes well with baby back BBQ ribs - hop heads take note.

On Tap at The ram / Boise Clear medium redish amber with a modest sized off-white head. Nice lacing and the sharp citrusy aroma exptected. Flavor was mostly the hops and I thought lacked the full malt body to accompany it. Carbonation was a bit soft.

On Tap: at The Ram in Meridian. Semi-clear brew with a white, fluffy head. It has citrusy aromas and fairly mild tastes. It isn’t as bitter as you would think. It has low carbonation with a thickish body. The beer is pleasant, but not stellar.

Red color with no head. Slightly hoppy aroma. Good malt base with a fair dosage of pine to finish it off. Not too bad at all.

Tap. Honey with foamy one finger head. Nose-hard to detect because the lady sitting next to me at the bar bathed in a bottle of Walgreen’s finist toilet water. I smell PNW hops, grapefruit. Taste-bitter grapefruit, semi-dry, acrid, bile like. Just a little too heavy on the bitter hops. Not enough flavor or aroma hops with a thin malt bill.

Schaumburg. Clear copper in color with a saliva splotch in the center for the head and a creamy off-white wrung on the outskirts. Hoppy aroma jumps out, partnering with herbal traits, lemons and lilies of the valley. Sweet and bitter flavor. Amarillo and cascades are well represented. Tingly, bitter pine traits. Medium to fuller bodied. Very bitter with a nearly chafing finished. Well balanced, and easily this brewpub’s best.
