Commercial Description:
Brewed as a medium India Pale Ale, this full-flavored moderately hopped beer has the strongest hop character of our ales. Made for hopheads and new beer aficionados. The grist composition is 94% Pale malt, with the remaining grain bill consisting of carastan malts. The finishing Mt. Hood hop addition in the whirlpool gives this beer a good hop character without becoming excessively bitter. The beer is fined instead of filtered so the hop character is not stripped away.

Pours a beautiful orange-gold. Aroma is sour citrus. Flavor is sour hops and grapefruit that lingers on the tongue throughout the sip. Palate is nice and full, and coats the tongue with assertiveness. Not an overpowering IPA, but it makes its presence known. Definitely worth another try.

Draft in Dallas--Good amber color with medium to small head. Light carbonation with a hoppy taste without a bitter finish. Not bad.

Light brown leather. Dulled resinous hop aroma. Creamy feel with sugared caramel malts and a suprisingly nice hop character. Lots of bitterness and pretty bland overall.

Draft in Arlington, TX Hop smell was present. Nice armber color... Almost no head. Taste was decently balanced. The end taste had a lil less hop bite then what I thought it would be.

Not much going on here. This was the best of the Big Horn beers I tried. Weak for an IPA, but there is some nice citrus hops in it.(rerate) This one had wickedly bitter hops. Normally that is awesome but it had relatively no malt balance. I liked how there the hops were a little more citrusy than most brewpubs. some grapefruit. but there was a was a really oily feel to beer and the bitterness that i didnt much care for.

Deep orange bodied with a small, white head. No discernable aromas besides moderate citrus hops. Nicely hopped flavor from start to finish with balanced malts and a sweet, spicy, apply finish. Creamy mouthfeel that ended dry.
