Commercial Description:
Brewed as a medium India Pale Ale, this full-flavored moderately hopped beer has the strongest hop character of our ales. Made for hopheads and new beer aficionados. The grist composition is 94% Pale malt, with the remaining grain bill consisting of carastan malts. The finishing Mt. Hood hop addition in the whirlpool gives this beer a good hop character without becoming excessively bitter. The beer is fined instead of filtered so the hop character is not stripped away.

Red amber pour with off-white head. Roast and citrus on the nose. Flavor has a nice orange zest hit that is followed up by a hint of roasted malt. Medium body with some bite on the end.

It wasn’t a world beating IPA, but its better than 16% in my opinion. It was among the best that Humperdinks had to offer. I thought there was enough balance, but it was certainly hop-light for an IPA.

Tap at westminster brewpub. A nice red color with some decent aromas. A well balanced easy drinking IPA. Not bad, not great.

On tap at brewpub in downtown Indianapolis. Thought this was an easy-drinking, flavorful IPA. Light amber body with an off-white, fizzy head that was lasting. Aroma of citrus and toffee — hints of grapefruit, pine. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. The bitterness kicks up a notch in the finish. Medium body with a watery texture. Lively carbonation. Very dry.

A generous gift from my dear friend Emilee :) An attractive reddish-copper colour with an always decent white head with excellent retention. Very nice lacing scattered along the glass. soft citrus fruit, well balanced hop character, a little earth and nice fruit flavor.

(Ram Restaurant and Brewery, Schaumburg, IL) Draft... DLD’08... Clear golden ale with a large, creamy, off-white head. No retention, but nice lacework. Toffee and citrus notes dominate the aroma. Medium-bodied with a ridiculously dry mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. Finishes violently bitter and sucks all moisture from my mouth. Over-attenuated, for certain. Still, an aromatic, tasty brew.

Poured an attractive ruby and copper with a fairly compact, but lightly creamy off-white head. Very good lacing. The aroma was nice and hoppy. Pine, cut with lighter citrus and floral. Hardly any malt sweetness noted, but oh well. The flavor was hop heavy. The pine and floral hops steamrolled the malts leaving it out of balance. Some tart citrus as well. Average mouthfeel. Pretty nice beer.

Golden orange color. Nice Pacific Northwest Hop aroma. Smells a little uniquely fruity too. Flavors of floral, pine, and pepper w pale malts and a little fruity sweetness. Finishes a little spicy. I enjoyed this one quite a bit.
