Commercial Description:
Brewed as a medium India Pale Ale, this full-flavored moderately hopped beer has the strongest hop character of our ales. Made for hopheads and new beer aficionados. The grist composition is 94% Pale malt, with the remaining grain bill consisting of carastan malts. The finishing Mt. Hood hop addition in the whirlpool gives this beer a good hop character without becoming excessively bitter. The beer is fined instead of filtered so the hop character is not stripped away.

Draught at Humperdink’s, Dallas, as Big Red IPA
Light amber color; thin head, nice lace. Fruity hop aroma, resiny. Medium body structure, heavy hopping (with some resins, aggressive enough) but not enough malty. Good.

Big Horn brews tend to be overly hopped, so when they say, "medium hopped," beware. orange peel and a bit of cinnamon give this IPA some complexity, but the hoppy finish overrides that.

On tap at the Broomfield, CO location. Poured a medium amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of citrus and lightly fruity. Tastes of citrus, light pine, and fruits. Lighter bitterness factor.

Had this on draft at humperdinks in Arlington, Texas. Pours a dark amber color with a small head. This pint I had last night didn’t seem as hoppy as it usually is, but most of the time it has a real nice hoppy taste with a nice fruity after taste. They actually call this one Big Red IPA at my location.

Draft. Hazy amber in the glass with a white head. The aroma had a fruit and citrus mix to it. The flavor found pine, grapefruit, and a hint of a malty background. Light to medium body that had a mild hoppiness throughout.

Tap @ Brewpub with Nuffield. Rating from 2004 notes. Light brown (dark golden). Malty base but lacks any real hook or reason to keep drinking.

Body is amber with no head. Aroma is a northwest hop, with a little bit of dried fruit, and some alcohol sweetness. Taste is hoppy up front, with fruit following, and almost a caramel like sweetness with tea leaves.
