Commercial Description:
Brewed as a medium India Pale Ale, this full-flavored moderately hopped beer has the strongest hop character of our ales. Made for hopheads and new beer aficionados. The grist composition is 94% Pale malt, with the remaining grain bill consisting of carastan malts. The finishing Mt. Hood hop addition in the whirlpool gives this beer a good hop character without becoming excessively bitter. The beer is fined instead of filtered so the hop character is not stripped away.

Light orange pour. Aroma is of light hops. Fantastic taste! The hops make a nice cushion for the other flavors going on. Very well done!

Not too bad of an IPA, has some noticeable bittering hops, but really falls off at the finish. Could be much better, if there were just more floral or citrus hops. Smells fantastic though.

A just above average looking IPA..a hazy brownish?orange with a large frothy white head..it hangs around a while. Pretty good aroma, you can detect the "sherberty" hoppiness right away. Not too bad. Very nice tasting IPA the hops are actually quite subdued compared to other American IPAs..theres a good detetctable malt backbone to this beer..along with the great "grapefruit" flavour of the hops..good bitterness in the aftertatse..this seems more like an English style IPA which is a good thing for me. Nice enough in the mouth. Great drinkability to this brew

Draught: Reddish brown. Aroma of citrus hops. A simple, one-dimensional IPA. Huge on the bitterness. I ordered this cause I wanted something hopped up. This will sooth the craving of any hop head like me.

On draft in Dallas: Beer pours an attractive dark honey color. The aroma is hoppy and floral. Flavor is hoppy, somwhat bitter with some malt for balance. This is a solid IPA. Palate is clean. I enjoy this IPA. Growlerable.

Draught at Humperdink’s, Dallas, as Big Red IPA
Light amber color; thin head, nice lace. Fruity hop aroma, resiny. Medium body structure, heavy hopping (with some resins, aggressive enough) but not enough malty. Good.

Re-rate, on tap Puyallup Ram. Hazy orange/amber hue, good head, decent lacing. Nice aroma, citrusy and resiny, almost skunky. Slight malt sweetness, flavor dominated by hops, good clean bitterness with a grapefruity hop flavor, finishes nice and dry with a pleasent lingering of hops. Tasty IPA, very drinkable, balanced and flavorful.

Had this one at the brewpub in Schaumburg, Illinois. Hazy dark orange pour with a thick, fluffy head, profoundly hoppy with piney and citrusy bitterness. Very bitter and very good.
