Commercial Description:
The most complex of our beer line-up with a combination of five different malts and four different hop varieties. Buttface has the broadest popular appeal of our beers. It has a high malt character and lack of evident hops. This surprises people because it is easy to drink, but has a higher alcohol content than what is perceived.

Toasted and caramel malt aroma. Flavor is pretty similar. Pleasant mild sweet caramel, toast, with a little hops in the finish. Pleasantly fruity and easy drinking.

Pours an amber color with some lacing and a nose of toasted malt and some caramel, and a bit of hops. Taste is a bit woody and has a caramel medium aftertaste. Kinda akward.

Had at Humperdinks on Greenville. Nice lacing. Reddish brown body with some hops, chocolate and fruit in the aroma. A nice amount of malt chocolate and wood in the taste. Watery mouthfeel.

Sample glass @ C I Shenanigans. Red amber. Good head. Light hops. Hint of caramel nose. Lightly hopped. Moderate toffee malt flavour.

This amber ale pours a pretty chestnut brown color with limited red hues and a good frothy head and limited lace. The head and lace dissipates over time. The smell is light but traces of a nutty flavor with a good roasted malt to it. The taste is very smooth. An almost English Ale quality. A slightly nutty flavor is noticeable with a good roasted malt makes a good mix. Limited hop flavor but some earthy traits are noticeable. A good body with little carbonation. To me this is more of an American Brown than amber.

Had it on tap at the RAM as part of their sampler that they offer. It was pretty much on par with the other beers they had there. Kind of textbook.

Not that shabby. Again, the Ram brews are basic and simple, even the "complex" ones such as this; but I’m sure that’s a necessity for a big business brew-pub. Sampled this one, and certainly remember this one being "good" on malts and hops. I still liked the Total-Disorder better, but at least this one showed a little character.

There’s some hop here that isn’t always present in an amber. Tastes of yeasty sweet malts and medium hops. Not a bad amber.
