A great amber ale is a great thing, but a decent amber ale is pretty boring -- and this isn’t even a decent amber ale. On the positive side, aroma and flavor are straight ahead and not particularly offensive. The mouthfeel....well, let’s just say that while one is tempted to mispronounce this beer as "butterface amber," that suggests a better body than the amber can provide.
Ultimately, it’s just staggeringly boring, so much so that any of the other middle-of-the-road PacNW ambers seem interesting by comparison.

Pours out a brown topped with a cream head. It has some caramel and roast not to bad. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA

Taste is dominated by malt, a bit of caramel, and some toasty tones. Pretty basic feel, easy to drink and easy to enjoy. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 1, 2006 Draft at Ram in Seattle. Clear amber with a diminishing white head and spare lacing. Lighty floral toffee aroma. Medium/light body that goes a bit watery. Vaguely nutty roasted malt flavor with a lightly bitter dry finish. Interesting logo and name, but the brew falls a bit short. jaymobrown (1360), Chicago, Illinois, USA

If you have an inkling to try these beers, don’t. These are so bland. You’d almost be better getting a macro than one of these. Disappointing and disheartening. bigbish (141), Colorado, USA
