davidoc (109), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 5, 2002 Maybe I don’t know what a great porter is, but this tasted good and made me happy. A little bitter, a little sweet. gws57 (988), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Jul 6, 2007 Had this one at the brewpub in Schaumburg, Illinois, marketted as "Royal Disorder Porter." Opaque brown pour with a mild hoppiness in the nose, smooth and balanced with some floral hoppiness and chocolate malt. Very good! rkearney (35), Amherst, New York, USA Mar 9, 2004 This was the second time I had this beer, but first time rating it. Id have to say the first time I had it, It left a better impression, possibly just the tap that day. So I gave it the benefit of the doubt, and combined my memory and current rating.
Semi sweet chocolate nose, medium body with a slight bitter finish. Arnie (272), Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA Jul 30, 2007 On tap in a very well-priced sampler. Opaque dark brown-near black color. Mildly smokey nose, some coffee malts. Smokey flavor. Heavy, but good. Retorp (2158), Tampa, Florida, USA Oct 3, 2005 Chocolate with very mild roastiness underneath. Deep brown to black with a decent head. Watery fore prepares you for dissapointment, but a strong roastiness and chocolate, coffee notes save it. Very tasty and true to style porter flavors here. The watery start prevents it from greatness unfortunately.
