bitbucket (1455), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jun 22, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear copper with a lacy white head. Aroma of citrus, resin, and the weed that is the cousin of the hop. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Sweet taste that follows the nose. Angeloregon (1488), Portland, Oregon, USA Apr 20, 2008 On tap at brewery in Hood River--Poured a bright copper-amber body. Small wispy white head. Earthy, floral and bitter hops. Not a lot of big hops presence, but like most of their beers, highly drinkable. Nothing to write home about, but well constructed. boFNjackson (457), Portland, Oregon, USA Mar 9, 2008 Tap at their brewpub... Poured orange with a thin white head. Floral hop aroma. Dry palate with lots of bubbles on the tongue. Flavors of crisp hops and mellow malt to balance, followed by a slight toffee aftertaste. Very straight forward and what you’d want for an IPA. DA (2252), Portland, Oregon City, Oregon, USA Nov 25, 2007 On tap at the brewery. Big grapefruit flavor, over a very floral ipa. Bitter finish, mild on the malts but a bit doughy, let the hops shine. Solid ipa, a lot of small pubs go for the milder ipa, this place doesn’t hold back. Oakes (6779), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 2, 2006 Hazy amber colour. Woody, citric, tangerine, orange, old orchard wood...oh yeah this is PNW IPA...the food of the gods. Minimal malt for balance, a testament to the hop. Chinook = the shit.
