Very dark brown with caramel thick head. The aroma is quite chocolatey. The body is thin, but the beer has a pleasant chocolatey/nutty character. Ok, but slightly watery.

Oct 23, 2009 Draft @ brewpub. Practically black with tan head and decent retention. Aroma is instant coffee, light cocoa and some tanginess. Light body, finishes thin. The flavors aren’t bad. The acidity is out of place to me, needs more roasted malt character.

Sep 26, 2009 Draught at Big Man Beer, Hanoi. Dark brown with a light brown head. Roasted malt, caramel and coffee aroma and flavour. Low bitterness in the finish. A tasty dunkel.

May 25, 2008 Draught at the brewpub, Hanoi location. Almost black, rich firm head. Light coffee aroma. Medium sweet and medium bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel. A little mushy. Flavour of coffee with notes of licorice. salty lightly tarry finish.
