| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 22, 2008 tap at Big Rock in Seoul - Pours dark brown, but not dark for a stout, with a thin light tan head. It smells and tastes mainly of the roast caramel malts along with some mild hops bitterness. It’s medium bodied and struck me as some kind of hybrid between an amber and a stout. Pretty good though. furballman (25), Seoul, South Korea

I think that this is a good beer if you like stout and happen to be in Big Rock at the time, but I much prefer their Grasshopper, Warthog, or their Traditional. dkazuk (247), winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Pours a dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma is a little bready with light fruity notes. Taste is similar with very feint notes of chocolate malts. Medium feel with a cloying texture. Not a good stout. Ok ale. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 26, 2007 Bottle. Pours a dark mahogany body with a yellow-brown head. Smells nutty with rye bread - somewhat thin for what I look for in a stout. It’s actually quite thin in the flavour too - salty, nutty, and metallic.
Not too good! blankboy (3258), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a clear deep ruby with an average size diminishing tan head. Aroma of slightly roasted malt, some light chocolate and caramel. Watery flavour’s mostly caramel with some roastness, faint chocolate and some nuts. Light bodied. It’s pretty mediocre stuff. Blah! tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Dark ruby brown, very little head. Subtle malt and roast aroma. Pretty decent taste - nice roast dark malt, sweet, hint of cola. This is not even close to a stout, but as a simple but satisfying dark amber/brown ale, it is decent. GregClow (2516), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Ruby-brown colour with a wispy head. Aroma of roast malt and a faint hint of chocolate. Thin body for a supposed stout. Flavour is mild but quite pleasant, dry and roasty. Like everyone else, I have a hard time considering this a "stout", but as a nut brown ale, it’s alright. graham515 (434), Houston, Texas, USA

Pours a rich dark color into the glass with a nice off white head that has some staying power. The flavor of this beer is skewed much more towards the sweet chocolaty malts rather than bitterness. Not a bad beer, but a bit sweet for me
