This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent uncarbonated dark orange brown colored body. The mild aroma was malty and sweet. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt and sweet. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

A very solid attempt at this style is massively surprisingly tasty abbey style ale straight out of Birmingham. As with most BR beers, the crisp taste and understated (but GREAT) flavor really come together to deliver a great brew. With the subtle note of malts and nuts this beer is up there with some world class monk produced abbeys!!! Way to go...

Draft at Big Rock Chop House & Brewery.Tan head that mostly diminished, fair amount of lacing, transparent, no carbonation observed, and an orange red hue. Nose was malty, hints of caramel and chocolate and sweet.Flavor was sweet, malty, caramel, and finishes somewhat dry.Smooth, dry mouthfeel and medium in body.Quaffable, easy drinking but needs more flavor to be truer to style IMO.
