Gregis (937), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Oct 6, 2008 Hand bottle generously shared by beastiefan2k. Pours a murky, golden-orange with a thin, creamy head that leaves patchy lace in its wake. The nose is of sweet-tarts, faint wood and cherries. Medium-bodied, slick and very tart with a solid, acidic finish. Tart cherries, wood and a funky, dry finish. Four sours in-a-row...my digestive system is going to hate me tomorrow. Thanks for sharing this one with us, Eugene.
miketd (415), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Sep 28, 2008 Pour is a hazy orange, decent white head. Mildly tart nose with some fruit. Flavor is tart but not really sour. Has a bit of sweetness in the finish. Reminded me of Russian River sours with the subtle tart along with a touch of sweet at the end. puzzl (1901), New York, New York, USA Sep 25, 2008 Bottle shared by Notalush. And thank god for that, after the garbage that was the Chelsea Cask Fest, there was some relief. Ah, wonderful carbonation. Nice cloudy pour with a bit of head. A lot of tartness, but a bit of rancid peanut oil. Maybe a touch of cherry. Full tartness up front in the flavor, almost piercing, with a kind of thin and lemony finish. Quite refreshing. Surprisingly at 8%. PilsnerPeter (1631), Flushing, New York, USA Sep 23, 2008 Bottle shared by notalush: (Thanks Brandon!) Pours a nice looking cloudy deep golden with creamy off-white head. Nice tart aroma- a bit chemically yet it offers some soft citric notes and underlying fruit-skin sweetness (pear?) Fairly acidic on the palate. Has some acetone qualities, yet it’s "saved" by a subtle vanilla hint, leather and a pleasant acetic touch. Not bad. JoeMcPhee (3899), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Sep 22, 2008 Thanks to notalush for sharing this. Pale golden hazy beer. Aroma is very soft and tart. Funky with a soft chewy fruit skin tannic character over a rich funky tartness. Sour and fruity with a touch of citric sourness. A bit chewy on the acidity and there is a bit of acetone-like character, but it’s still pretty nice.
