Commercial Description:
Brewed with a combination of roasted barley malts and freshly ground espresso beans to produce a rich robust flavour. The intense coffee flavour is delicious on its own or as a perfect compliment to chocolate. Holiday favourites such as Christmas cake and plum pudding go very well with this unique dessert beer.

Very dark brown in colour, thin oily beige coloured head, no lacing. The aroma is a bit chocolaty, some coffee, small roast and a high sweetness. The flavour is lightly roasty, faint chocolate powder, chalky, cold coffee. Thin mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes thin, quick, watery. A watery stout, pretty tame espresso flavour.

341ml bottle obtained in a trade with <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?U target=blank>piscator34, thanks Kris.

Bottle. Reddish brown colour with a weak head. Nice sweet aroma of chocolate and milk-like. Nice smooth flavour of chocolate, coffee and some roastedness.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry & biegaman -- my bottle courtesy of CapFlu. Pours a dark reddish-brown with an average size diminishing tan head. Aroma of caramel malt, just slightly roasted along with a bit of coffee. Flavour is watery, watery, watery! Somewhere in there is roasted malt and coffee. Tastes like when I finish a Stout and pour some water in my glass to rinse it and then drink it. Light bodied. I wasn’t expecting much but I was still disappointed.

Bottle (341ml). Shared with blankboy and biegaman, blankboy’s bottle via trade with CapFlu. Clear weak-looking chestnut, small tan head - stout? Really? Incredibly weak aroma - slightly sour and astringent coffee-ish aroma - like twice-stepped on cheap near-espresso, some stale nutshell and grain. Taste - what there is of it - is like coffee-flavoured bubblegum, a little bitter but ultimately nothing. Thin, pretty flat, moderately astringent, not a nice bitter aftertaste - bleh. Go grab yourself a real coffee stout.

Bottle via trade with piscator34. Dark brown body with a faint wisp of a head - looks a lot like cola, actually. Mild aroma with the expected roasted malt and coffee notes, although it’s more stale coffee than the fresh roasted coffee beans I was hoping for. Thin body, quite disappointing. Flavour is OK - roasted malt, coffee, a bit of bitter cocoa. Not bad, but it didn’t wow me.

Deep brown, almost black colour with a small tan head. Roasted malty aroma with a heavy coffee and chocolate sweet note. Coffee bitter flavor with a vague chocolate sweetness and a hoppy note. Dry finish.

(Bottle 34,1 cl) Clear, dark, reddish brown with a small, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Fairly light body with roasted malt, coffee and perhaps some chocolate. A dry finish without much bitterness. A bit bland perhaps, but high drinkability. Courtesy of presario. 120207
