Commercial Description:
Brewed with a combination of roasted barley malts and freshly ground espresso beans to produce a rich robust flavour. The intense coffee flavour is delicious on its own or as a perfect compliment to chocolate. Holiday favourites such as Christmas cake and plum pudding go very well with this unique dessert beer.

Bottled. Dark reddish brown coloured. Coffee, light roast and cocoa in the aroma. Flavour is a bit bland. Some roastyness, and a light touch of coffee. Seems a bit unfinished. Thin and watery. Sweet coffeish end.

A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of roasted malt and caramel, but also light coffee notes. The flavor is sweet mlaty with notes of cappuchino and light notes of caramel - remind me of an ice cream dessert topping. The body is thin.

Black with hints of sugar brown around the edge; head diminishing rapidly and then gone. Initial flavour reminiscent of snow in the mouth, a bit of coffee comes through but no sign of a lingering finish. Perfectly drinkable but not as much flavour as I was anticipating...might be a gateway beer for someone afraid of dark beers.

Black colour with burgundy hints and thin beige head. Mild coffee malt nose. Thin mouthfeel with bitter bitter chocolate and coffee taste. No finish.

(Bottle) 4-pack with 2 glasses purchased from an independent liquor store in sleepy Courtney, BC, $14.80. Dark brownish, watery body with a mild tan-coloured head. Nose of week coffee and hazelnuts. The thin, fizzy flavour is so underwhelming: weak coffee malts mingle with lethargic wet-cracker. Very poor.

341ml brown bottle. Dark brown colour, head is small but quite creamy and long lasting. Leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma is a bit dusty, light roasted malts. Flavour is roasty, dark roasted coffee finish, some iron. Medium body with light carbonation.

Tap at my local.Deep brown, small tan head. Fizzy and thin.Light coffee nose. Lightly toasty dry malt profile, somewhat bland. However, the rep told me it was a Porter, not a stout

Bottle: Pours a dark mahogany with a medium, tight tan head. Aroma is predominantly dusty coffee with some mild hint of hop. Flavour was smooth coffee and dark malt. Finishes with a mild bitter flourish. A bit thin, but tasty.
