Can. Pours a very slightly hazy yellow, with a nice rocky white head. Nose is basic macro-like, with suggestions of corn as well as wheat. Some mild spiciness, but precious little. Palate is not at all appealing; broad in the way wheat beers that wheat beers should be, with a nice lemony character, but with a cheap sweet, corny taste, no hops, and very little that is pleasant or redeeming. Sub-par macro garbage masquerading as a microbrew. Drain pour.

Grasshopper a very common beer here in Edmonton and a lot of people order it thinking its fancy because it comes with a wedge of lemon, the only reason this lemon is needed is to drown out the taste of this cheap beer. Don’t get me wrong this beer isn’t horrible it’s just not as good and fancy as the masses think it is. The review was done from the canned version so marks might be lower then they should, Beer starts off all right crystal clear golden body with a good sized white fluffy cap that had good retention. Smell is wheat with some corn coming through very week unappealing aroma, this is where the lemon wedge comes drowning out all fowl odors and tastes. Very bready taste with more corn then wheat so I guess its really corn bread I’m tasting, and that’s all there is for taste, all corn bread malt with no hops. Its still a drinkable beer but not worth the premium beer price.

Can. Pours with an extremely small, white head, with virtually no lacing and a clear, yellow color. As for aroma...doesn’t really smell like much, to be honest, let alone wheat. Body and texture are light and thin, with average carbonation. Duration of the flavor is extremely short... swallow it and it’s gone. I can’t really taste any wheat, either... tastes very light, almost like a light macro beer. Overall it’s ok for drinking on a hot day, but if you want a real wheat ale, try something else.

341 mL Bottle. Clear gold body with a foamy-bubbly white head that settles to a wispy ring, no lacing (obviously this wheat ale has been filtered). Wheat stands out in the aroma along with grains and tangy hops. Wheat and sweet malt make up the flavor with a sweet grainy / tangy hop aftertaste and a butter biscuit linger. More like a macro than a micro.

On tap. Pours clear, pale golden yellow in colour, with little head. Mild aroma and flavour, little bit of wheat taste.

This is not a normal wheat beer. Lacks the straw colour and citrusy flavour. Tastes more like an ale. Sharp aftertaste is the only thing that is good about this beer.

Pours a golden yellow with little head. Aroma is musty with some citrus notes (mainly lemon) some allspice, and very bready malt. Tastes lemony, with a mushroomy mid-palate. Also has some spice and a very bready taste. Palate is fine, but this beer is much better on tap. Just lacks the bright freshness of a good wheat beer.
