Quevillon (1516), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada Jan 22, 2006 Assée rafréchissante avec un légé goût, pas super impressionante. J’avoue qu’il y a pire. Z2221344 (6), Canada does not count Jan 11, 2006 A staple in Alberta Undergrad universities. A nice beer but nothing terribly special Perhaps I’ve gotten a little too used to it, but it isn’t a favorite of mine. I believe that Big Rock brews better products - Warthog Cream Ale and Traditional rank higher in my mind. yarry (370), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada Jan 6, 2006 341 ml Bottle, 5% a/v.
Pours with a quickly dissapating white head, nice golden colour. Fairly bubbly. Honey and malt in the nose. Smells good! Tastes like honey, a tad malty, and a nice hint at grain tastes. Very little aftertaste to be had! All in all a nice refreshing beer! Great for a summer day in a hammock! oldrtybastrd (1801), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA Jan 5, 2006 Pours a hazy dark golden yellow color. Aromas of malts, a touch of honey. Flavor is the same as the nose, nice malt taste with honey like sweetness. Smooth hop finish, medium body with a quick aftertaste. Eructoblaster (1477), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Nov 22, 2005 Bottle. Nice golden body with good carbonation and a thick but fading white frothy head. Decent malty aroma with bready, floral and hoppy notes. Flavors of Saaz and Cascade hops are quite unusual for that kind of beer. It leaves a nice bitter aftertaste. This is not bad at all, but it lacks conformity to the Wheat Ale style. johnnymutolo (6), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada does not count Sep 22, 2005 A better than average very light tasting beer. Very refreshing. Thin head, mild taste, but quite agreeable. THey serve this on Westjet Airlines, and I feel it makes the flight worthwhile. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Aug 14, 2005 Updated: Sep 7, 2005Bottle (341ml). Poured a slightly hazy gold with an average off-white tightly bubbled head. Aroma was much more like a generic pale lager - corn, sour damp grains, stale hops, hint of citrus - with a bit of candyish malt and maybe some banana and apricot, but mutates to burned grass on warming - harsh. Taste is pretty bland, vaguely like a mile generic witbier until the harsh burned straw taste weighs in. Mouthfeel very light and pretty lively. Not difficult to drink, but better on draught. Finish is quick and somewhat bitter-harsh. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 12, 2005 can. translucent golden with a short-lasting large fluffy white head. aroma is of sweet grain, butterscotch, and caramel. no fruit to speak of. flavour profile is somewhat thin, it’s mostly sweet with some bread and yeast notes. short acidic finish. normally this isn’t a style I’m very fond of and this beer is no exception.
