Aroma is slightly earthy and sweet, but some kind of slight chemical smell but not in an offensive way over all doesnt have much of an aroma. Slight hops, and earthy taste. Slgith Grapes also present. Watery finish, with sligth bitterness. I dont think it is a good example of a wheat, but none the less, it was decent enough to have again. Most definately a huge difference between bottle and tap. frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Feb 27, 2005 Pours a clear yellow. Slightly grassy aroma as well as some underlying unpleasentness. The taste was not much better thin, bland with an odd regurgitated beer flavour. Hopefully other american wheats are better. JustinBathurst (134), Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 14, 2005 So, here I am in lovely Newfoundland, where I can only get beer from one of the two island micros, but can get Big Rock beer from Alberta. Why not Creemore from Ontario?
Enough of that. The beer: pours a paler kind of gold than a Molson, slightly amber, but plain. A thin head appears and then leaves town for good. This thing has macro all over it.
Smells like someone cut grass a week ago (very very slight), broke a tiny jar of honey on it, and then swept it up with a weak lemon cleaner. All in all, the aroma is extremely faint, but pleasant.
Mouthfeel is crisp and light. Has a good carbonation. Well defined in this area, actually.
I taste some light hops, some malt, a sour mash of citrus, a bitter end and a long lasting sour lemony aftertaste. Nothing is offensive, but nothing is really all that present.
This beer is an excellent example of what my German friends call ’Good North American beer’--it tastes like water, so it can’t taste bad. But in all seriousness, it’s refreshing and I kind of like it despite all my criticism, so it’s not a failure. Tessic (450), Brantford, Ontario, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 29, 2004 This wheat ale pours a cloudy dark yellow with a unlasting white head. Scents include metal, yeast, honey and a little bit of creamy milk? First sip was watery, creamy and smooth. A little metal in the background. Very slight bitter flavour in the finish and it builds onto the palate. All in all Its been stronger tasting in the past. pintbypint (1004), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 22, 2004 341ml brown bottle. Poured a rich gold. Large 2 finger head settled quickly. Lots of carbonation. Dryish wheaty notes to aroma. Medium body, toasted malt and wheat taste. Dry in the finish, paco (204), Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Dec 18, 2004 very dry wheaty taste. not much aroma to speak of. looks like most bears, yellow/gold color. Mullo (102), Brisbane, Australia
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 26, 2004 I found a great multitude of flavour and complexity. Lots of fruitiness and yeastiness, and a good aroma. A touch of acidity. Lacked head and gassing, which affected appearance poorly. IPFreely (1470), Lewiston, New York, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 21, 2004 Light gold color, average head. Mild malt/wheat aroma. Flavor is pretty grainy, but not entirely unpleasant. A bit thin. I guess you could do worse.
