Hansen (2235), Randers, Denmark Sep 29, 2003 Grasshöpper? A special wheat beer. A bit sour, goes good with the spiciness, orange, coriander. Kåstå (1149), Mol, Belgium Sep 2, 2003 Clear blond with a small head. Weak aroma. Very short grainy taste. Light bitter finish and aftertaste. A bit of an odd taste for a wheat beer. jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 14, 2003 Golden colour, slightly grassy malty aroma. Little head, thin body. Fairly bland overall. Didn't use the lemon on the side. Might have made it more interesting. wnp22 (682), Toronto (Roncesvalles Village), Ontario, Canada Aug 10, 2003 Updated: Jul 10, 2004Tasted at TFOB. Not a typical wheat appearance or taste. Little or no spice or banana in the aroma - light grassy scent in the aroma. Bitter refreshing finish but strangely nasty. OlJuntan64 (1267), Perth, Australia Aug 5, 2003 Pleasing clear yellow gold colour. Intriguing granola plus, the only thing I can describe it as is, a hint of light sewing machine oil aroma. Blandish light body. Grainy and mild corn flavours. I do not particularly like this style and the fact that corn is not my favourite beer flavour does not help my rating of this beer. OKBeer (1159), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Jul 17, 2003 Deep gold colour with a fully diminishing off-white head. Very light honey and grassy aroma. Same bland and watery flavours as the Honey Brown, but with a touch more bitter finish. NectarFarm (128), Calgary, Canada Jul 16, 2003 I like drinking things out of yellow cans. If I didn't I'd rate this beer lower. beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Jul 1, 2003 Color is a pale yellow, nothing pretty for a hefe, lightning fast faded head of I think was white, has very light and small spotty lace. Smell is malty, wheaty, some mustyness with a simple woodyness in the back. Taste is bland of malts and some touches of wheat, has a bit of sweetness and fairly strong hold in the middle of grain. Feel is pretty full and a bit of a grain feel, is pretty good, best part of this brew. This is a bit over average, I wouldn't pass it up if offered, but would pass it by otherwise.
This grasshopper jumps across the field just fine but it just so happens to land in the mouth of a hungry bird.
