Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Nov 25, 2000 Updated: Sep 4, 2005Golden colour. Slightly sweaty, vaguely fruity aroma. Bland, watery, with light bready malts and only the vaguest wheatiness. Inoffensive. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 5, 2008 Draught at Ship and Anchor, Calgary Blond color. Very common Lager, balanced but anonymous. faroeviking (6016), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands Sep 16, 2009 Botella. Grainy wheaty aroma. Fair mouthfeel. Flavour of something wheaty , bit sweet with grains and gras, bit grassy. Disappointing. Bov (5403), Bienne, Switzerland Nov 12, 2000 JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Mar 6, 2004 Very pale yellow and crystal clear with a thin white head. Slight citrus aroma and some very mild wheat aroma. Very little flavour, some weak malted wheat and a number of different hops. Crisp finish. Not an outstanding beer, but I could drink about a thousand of 'em. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Aug 30, 2006 Golden yellow and headless, this had an aroma of Wheaties, candy corn, and field grasses. Highly carbonated and gassy, this had a grainy wheat flavor with a drop of honey and a light, grassy bitterness. Candy sweet finish.

Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Apr 17, 2006 Golden wheat with a creamy white head. Malty aroma with grassy light mineral notes. In mouth, refreshing malt, cooling, biscuitty notes, medium bodied. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA Jun 7, 2007 341 ml bottle from Premier Wine and Spirits in Halifax, NS (May 2007) sampled just a bit above fridge temperature from an Allagash glass. About a finger of snowy, smooth head shows up briefly atop the bright, faintly hazy-oily gold body before disappearing with no lacing left.....nose of honey, a bit of lilac, faint lemon-bananas, a bit of worty malts....on the tongue there is just a touch of berry sweetness at the front but it’s an unkept promise as quickly a dry, somewhat alkaline character takes over, smothering flavor and fruitiness; from midpalate on this is thin, dry, brackish and watery, with a pronounced metallic character to the hard, joyless finish...low to moderate carbonation, unpleasant, soulless.
