Honey-like musty sweetness with some grassy hop character in the nose. Clear golden body is topped by a low white head that recedes to a thin partial cover. Mild sweetness in the flavour offset by equally mild bitterness. Fruity esters in the aftertaste but very little wheat character. Light body and watery texture with strong carbonation. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Can (BCLS on Cambie at 39th, May-07).

Draught. Small white head, especially as it is a wheat beer. Hazy golden body. Weak hops aroma. Flavor with a decent amount of hops. Far from my expectations.

Bottled. Poured a clear paler golden with a dusting of white head remaining. Nose was of sweetened banana and wheat notes with hints of honey and lemon... not bad components, but didn’t strike the right chord with me. Quite a bit of caramel and other sweetness across the middle in the flavor... tart lemon and wheaty notes around the tongue were rather well-placed. Carbonation was too high... but creamy otherwise. Didn’t enjoy this.

Thanks Osborne Freehouse. Grainy and malty sweet. Crisp like a wheat but not much wheat. Thin-medium mouthfeel.

Bottle (341ml). Poured a slightly hazy gold with an average off-white tightly bubbled head. Aroma was much more like a generic pale lager - corn, sour damp grains, stale hops, hint of citrus - with a bit of candyish malt and maybe some banana and apricot, but mutates to burned grass on warming - harsh. Taste is pretty bland, vaguely like a mile generic witbier until the harsh burned straw taste weighs in. Mouthfeel very light and pretty lively. Not difficult to drink, but better on draught. Finish is quick and somewhat bitter-harsh.

Golden colour, slightly grassy malty aroma. Little head, thin body. Fairly bland overall. Didn't use the lemon on the side. Might have made it more interesting.
