A pleasant, very drinkable beer. Perhaps a bit on the weak side. Very nice with food - if had on its own, there's not a lot going for it.

341ml brown bottle. Poured a rich gold. Large 2 finger head settled quickly. Lots of carbonation. Dryish wheaty notes to aroma. Medium body, toasted malt and wheat taste. Dry in the finish,

A clear, crisp, wheaty ale...with a strong wheat aroma. I tried this beer without the lime first...but found that the lime adds a slight bitterness that compiments the flavor of the wheat and hopps.

Here is what I said about this beer when I first rated it: "First of all, this doesn’t have any wheat beer character." I was wrong. In a head-to-head comparison with another local American wheat (Liplock by Nelson Brewery) it became evident that this is unquestionably a wheat beer, it’s just that American wheats are never as wheaty as their German counterparts (that took me some time to get used to I guess). Anyway, I’ve always liked it, probably as much for sentimental reasons as anything. Faint aroma of wet hair and mild estery wheatiness, with a wheaty fresh palate and a soft finish. A terrific summer beer.

Pours from the bottle a clear golden color with a thin white head. Aroma has a slight apple juice sweetness and acidic note with noble hops aromas and a pretty grainy background. Flavor starts off with a honey and grain flavor moving into a pretty grainy middle while ending with lingering apply-juice like sweetness that hangs around for a bit afterword. Mouth feel is good for the style. Overall not too bad of a beer from this brewery and something that would be a good thirst quenching beer on a warm day.

On tap. Pours clear, pale golden yellow in colour, with little head. Mild aroma and flavour, little bit of wheat taste.

This is a decent refreshing wheat beer. Doesn’t hold a candle to good german hefe, but quaffable on a hot summer day on tap, lots of bars in canada have it.
