Commercial Description:
Big Rock Honey Brown is an exceptionally smooth, mellow lager with a subtle hint of sweet honey. This medium bodied, rich golden-brown lager is made with Alberta Clover Honey and aged longer to produce a cramy head and a clean aftertaste.

355ml can.
Pours an amber honey red with a foamy head that leaves decent lacing. Smells of hops and alcohol with a small bit of honey that I found hard to pick up on. Tastes somewhat like oak and something unpleasant. No honey taste. Bare finish. First time I tried this beer I loved it. This time it’s terrible.

a not bad honey brown... decent head, kind of sweet, some hops. Gives Sleemans HB a run for it’s money...

From a can. Sweet honey aroma, pours with a deep copper hue and decent off-white frothy head. The flavour is very sweet and this beer has treacle like qualities and there is a hoppy kick in the finish. An enjoyable ale.

(Bottle) Purchased at the BC Liquor Store at Fairfield Plaza in Victoria, BC, for $1.95. Pours a tiny, white head and a well carbonated, deep amber body. Nose of corn syrup. Incredibly artificial flavour - some honey but the malt is too sweet and the mild bitter finish is undesirable. Poor offering.

Piscator was bang on again. Not so much honey flavor, and lightly carbonated. Although I would probably take this one over the Sleemans. Sorry Pisc.

Draught. Small white head. Hazy amber body. Weak hops aroma and flavor without much honey taste.

Golden brown, mostly corn syrup/caramel aroma. Sweet palate, but featureless really. Not bad, but not much stands out.

Thin tasting and overly sweet without malt or hop backbone. Clear copper with minimal head. Caramel aroma was alright.
