Had this for the first time at Moxies, but I was already a little drunk. I figured I would give it a sober rating.
Holding true to my first rating, I still thought it was pretty good. It tasted sweet, sweeter than most would enjoy, but I acctually didnt mind it. Not too much aroma (unfortunately), looked nice with a dark orange-ish colour, cheap alcohol flavor but not too bad. To be completely honest I know this beer is poorly made, I know it doesnt have quality ingredients or careful brewing, but I just really enjoyed it. Isnt that what matters? | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 22, 2007 From a can. Sweet honey aroma, pours with a deep copper hue and decent off-white frothy head. The flavour is very sweet and this beer has treacle like qualities and there is a hoppy kick in the finish. An enjoyable ale. tupalev (2617), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 25, 2008 Bottle, ,courtesy of my friends Big Red and K. Looks great - chesnut brown, nice copper glow, thick creamy white head. Aroma is decent - sweet malt and a touch of actual discernible honey. Surprised me. Taste - again, somewhat surprising. Sweet malt, light to medium body (for the style) and more honey. Served cold, this one is not too bad at all. Nothing complex or earth shattering but comes as advertised (where so many honey browns do not) - a decent dark lager mixed with some sweetness. Cloying as it warms so drink it cold and you’ll be fine. mbgrayson (144), Anaconda, Montana, USA

Not overly dark, and of course, it has a nice honey flavor. Thunbs up from me, but I am partial to this style. TipsyMcStager (916), Calgary, Alberta, Canada

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 5, 2005 Bottle in Halifax. Dark amber body, small white head. Very sweet aroma of caramel and malt. Flavour is simple with lots of the sweet sugary caramel malt per the aroma. Very slight bitterness in the background doesn’t quite balance it out. Average palate. Pleasant enough, but gets a touch cloying after a bit. albert007 (409), Penobsquis, New Brunswick, Canada
