Unfortunately, it was also not a good beer. Glowing yellow color with a fizzy white head and a nose that reminded me of cold baked beans. Flavor was very thin, with some canned corn/vegetable tastes. It would have been better colder. beerinmarch (2829), Washington, USA

Pours a piss yellow, which i will give a 2 because it actually has color. Aroma of baked beans? that was the final verdict. Having no taste i will give a 3, because it was much better than having the taste follow up the bean aroma, that would have been awful. I will give it a 5 overall due to its bean like quality, which may have taken a ton of effort to achieve. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA

That is about the only thing that it has going for it. Oh yeah, it isn’t overly carbonated either. pootzboy (1048), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | May 5, 2004 Had a glass of this at "Spolumbo’s" Calgary’s East End wunder bar with great Italian sausages. It tapped a pale straw color with a smallish white head that went out to a thin lace that clings to the glass through the drink. Had slight aromas of grains malt and hop. Started very crisp, almost like a pilsner, but sat very comfortably on the palate like a light lager with a good, but thin, balance of hops, malt and grain tastes, then finished cleanly with a slight (not unpleasant) malt after taste. Some may call this drink “watery” but it is a thirst buster type lager not intended to be categorized or compete with import or craft lagers....just to guzzle with some gooey sandwich.
This is a very good commercial light summer lager, I much prefer this over most of the mega brew lagers...and with a famous Spolumbo’s sausage sandwich it hit the spot right on the mark.
Two great Calgary traditions that just seem to have an affinity for each other I suppose. Perhaps that’s why my impression of this light beer is so positive.
