Amber body with a thick cream head, this irish ale was much better than expected. Scottich malt aroma and a malt flavor backed up by alcohol--which leaves the tip of the tongue numb. Balanced, malty, and with an alcohol punch, this is a good scottish-irish ale.

looks thin, tastes thin but I like it, some serious hops for a product of canada, the finish disappears faster than the foot clan

This is very much a Scottish (Irish) Ale. There is an intrinsic heaviness you can feel in your throat and chest when drinking this. Good malt presence, adequate hops, but there is this sort of nasty bitterness at the back of my mouth that is leaving me with a slight look of perturbance (I think I may have just invented a word). These guys at Big Rock seem to be barely hitting par with their brews.

Wierd aroma of buffalo wing sauce?? nice amber color accompanied by a creamy head...floral hoppyness...bitter yet sour finish...light bodied & smooth with a sort of sourness that lingers on...

Bottle. A brown amber color with a laced white head. Solid buttery and malty nose and flavor. A little hop bite which dies quickly and leaves a malty aftertaste.

An ok Irish ale. Not anything special, but worth a try if you’re in B.C. Drink up.

Very good beer, a little high-test though. Tasted at the Brewery, so freshness might have influenced the rating.

Good stuff from Calgary’s own Big Rock . Strong... 7% alc.... I only got 3 down out of the 6 pack I bought . ( of course I had the other 3 the next day :) Tasty irish ale style... caramel ambery effervescence... I recommend this one ’highly’ :) This is Big Rock’s best accomplishment I feel . Cheers...
