[810-20071104] Bottle. Light fruit aroma hints at apple and strawberry. Clear, amber orange body with a quick foamy white head. Alcohol grain flavour has a bit of yeast and fruit background. Medium body. Average.

355ml can.
Pours a light hazelnut colour with thick looking off white head. Smells of caramel malts and a small bit of hops. Flavour is a little citrusy and juicy with a slight bitter finish. I’ve been noticing with a few of Big Rock’s beers that the aroma and flavour don’t seem to compliment each other and thats a bit off-putting for me. Smooth and semi-watery mouth feel. Small bitter finish. No huge aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with little head. Very faint hops in the aroma. The aroma gains inklings of smoke and roasted malts as it warms. The taste is very much diluted: a few hops save the beer from being mistaken for water. Alcohol is noticeable even though the beer is a mere 4.5%. After taking a few sips and letting the beer saturate my tongue, the ridiculous blandness begins to transform into... something. Some malts begin to show with warmth. Still, bland yet oddly unbalanced. Light bodied to the point of being excessively watery. Shattered my expectations.

Nice brown color, incredably smooth. I was quite impressed because this is a beer that I could drink alot of if I was thirsty and it doesn’t lose much. Good carbonation, nice taste, but the head was very thin, that’s the 4 for appearance.

On tap in seoul. Nice brown color with offwhite head. The aroma is very mild with only a little bit of malt aroma. The taste is also very mild, but the slight nuttiness it does have is really enjoyable. Would buy this one

Pours beautifully - thick head and a nice copper-brown colour to the beer. Carbonation is lively but soft. Nice nutty flavour, with a definite malt presence up front. Hops are well-balanced. Not to everyone’s tastes, I’m sure, but it’s a well-made beer that’s worth a try if you like the style. This is probably a good cool-weather beer, so I’ll try it again in the fall.

Bottle; Red with the barest whisp of a head. Weird and strong aroma -- my first impression was "mushrooms" ... or maybe tomato sauce? Thanks God it doesn’t carry that to the flavor. Musty and metallic with an earthy hop finish. Different, to be sure. (#2892, 5/15/2007)

Very mild nutty malt aroma with some earthy hop notes. Clear copper body is topped by a fizzy and low off white head that recedes to a thin cover with marginal lacing. Clean, sweet nutty flavour with understated fruity esters and light bitterness. Medium light body with fizzy but soft textured carbonation. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle (BCLS at 39th and Cambie, Apr-07).
